This guide shows how the two collections differ and how to pick between them.

What a collection is

A collection is a group of floor plans that the builder sells together. The builder groups the plans by style and price level. At Parkland Royale there are two:

  • Crown Collection: Barony, Highgrove, Kingsmont and Valemont

  • Monarch Collection: Astoria, Marquis, Regent and Sovereign

You do not need to pick a collection first. Pick a plan, and the collection comes with it.

What is the same in both

Lennar lists the same core feature set for the homes in both collections. These include:

  • concrete block construction

  • concrete roof tile

  • impact-resistant windows and doors

  • quartz counters in the kitchen, baths and laundry

  • 10-foot ceilings on the first floor

Learn more in what is included and what a hurricane window costs. Both collections sit inside the same gated community. We cover the gate in our guide to gated communities in Parkland.

What is different

The builder does not publish a list of what changes between the collections beyond the plans themselves and the price level. So here is what we can say.

Price level. Monarch plans have started higher than Crown plans. The Astoria, for example, is smaller than the Barony and has started at a higher price.

Plan range. The Monarch Collection has the largest plan, the Sovereign. It also has the only single-story plan, the Astoria. The Crown Collection has no one-story plan.

Exteriors. Each plan page on the builder's site shows its own exterior styles. Ask to see them in person, because pictures can differ from real homes.

If you want to know about lots, ask which lots go with each collection. Lot sizes and what is open change often.

Match the collection to your need

You want the lowest starting price

Look at the Crown plans first. The Barony is the smallest of them. Read about it on the Barony page.

You want the biggest home

The Sovereign (about 4,339 square feet) and the Regent (about 4,143) are in the Monarch Collection. The Valemont (about 4,155) is the biggest Crown plan. See the Valemont page.

You want one floor

The Astoria is the answer. Read one story vs two story homes for more.

You want a suite for relatives

Both collections have one Next Gen plan. Read Highgrove vs Sovereign for a plan-by-plan comparison. For a wider look, see multigenerational homes in Parkland.

You want a three-car garage

The Barony and Kingsmont in the Crown Collection and the Marquis and Regent in the Monarch Collection have three-car garages.

Other new homes in Parkland

Parkland Royale is not the only new community in town. Saltgrass at Heron Bay, built by Toll Brothers, is also in Parkland and is gated. Its homes run from about 2,600 to about 4,600 square feet. Its starting prices are higher than Parkland Royale's at every size, and its garages are bigger. If a bigger garage and a bigger amenity set matter more than price, visit it. If a lower starting price matters, Parkland Royale is the place to start.

We are not tied to one builder. We will tell you which fits you. For a full overview, see our Parkland real estate guide.

How to decide

Here is a simple plan:

  1. Pick your top two plans from our guide to all eight plans.

  2. Ask us for today's numbers on both.

  3. Tour both in one trip, if you can.

  4. Check the school lookup for any address you like. See Parkland schools and daily life.

  5. Review the parks and daily life, in Parkland parks and things to do.

You can also start on the Parkland Royale community page.

Questions to ask about lots and finishes

Once you pick a plan, ask these:

  • Which lots are open for this plan, and which collection do they go with?

  • Which exterior styles can I choose for this lot?

  • Which interior colors and finishes are standard?

  • What is the options list for this plan, and what does each cost?

  • When would the home be ready, if I ordered today?

Each answer is specific to a plan and a lot. Ask for them in writing.

Why we compare instead of sell one

We are not tied to one builder. When another community fits you better, we say so. That is why this guide mentions Saltgrass at Heron Bay and why our Parkland real estate guide looks at more than one choice. A good decision comes from seeing your options side by side.

A note on timing

Prices and incentives change often. The best way to know what is available today is to call. We can also tell you which plans are open to tour, so you can plan your visit and see the homes in person.

What to do next

Pick one plan from each collection that seems close to your needs. Save the two plan pages and look at the room sizes on each. Then call us. We can talk about which one you should see first and what questions to ask. If you are still early in your search, that is fine.
