Parkland FL Schools and Daily Life Near Parkland Royale

In this article
"Parkland FL schools are run by Broward County Public Schools, and the district decides which school a home goes with. We cannot tell you which school an address is assigned to, and we do not list ratings. The district has its own lookup tool that uses a street address, and it is the one place to get the real answer. This guide shows you how to use it, then covers the rest of daily life near Parkland Royale, a gated Lennar community in Parkland. Call 561-704-0091 if you want us to help you check an address.

Step 1: Use the district's school finder
Broward County Public Schools has a tool called Find My School. You type in an address and a grade level. It shows the schools linked to that address.
Use the Broward Find My School tool.
Read the district's instructions for the tool. They explain how to pick the school year and enter an address.
See the district's boundary maps page. The district says its maps are general, and that you should use the finder for a real address.
The district lists an email on its instructions page for address problems. Use it if the tool does not know a new street yet. New streets sometimes take time to show up.
Step 2: Check again before you buy
School boundaries can change. A school may also have limited space. A school link you see online may be old. So:
Check the district tool for the exact address, not just the neighborhood.
Check it again closer to closing.
Ask the district about any school choice options, if you want another school.
We do not tell buyers that a school is ""good"" or ""bad."" That is for you and the district to decide.

Questions to ask the district
Which school levels does this address go with, for elementary, middle and high school?
Will the school year start before or after my move?
How do I register my child?
Is there a bus, and where would it stop?
How do I find out about school choice programs?
Call the district or the school office. They are the only ones who can give you the facts.
Getting around Parkland
Parkland sits in northwest Broward County, along the edge of the Everglades. Here are the real roads you will use:
University Drive (State Road 817) runs north and south.
US 441 (State Road 7) runs north and south on the east side.
Loxahatchee Road starts at US 441 in Parkland and runs northwest.
The Sawgrass Expressway (State Road 869) runs along the south edge of the city. It joins Florida's Turnpike at an interchange in Coconut Creek.
Hillsboro Boulevard (State Road 810) starts at US 441 on the Parkland and Coconut Creek line and heads east into Coconut Creek.
We do not give drive times. Traffic changes the numbers too often. Test your own route at the time you would really drive. If you work in a certain place, try that trip on a weekday morning.
Airports and trains
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is run by Broward County. See the airport's site at fll.net. Brightline runs trains in South Florida with stations in Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, among others. See the Fort Lauderdale station page. Check the schedule and parking before you plan a trip.
Shopping, health care and food
Groceries. Publix has a store at Parkland Commons. See the store page.
Health care. Broward Health Coral Springs is one hospital in the region. See its location page.
Food. Bluefin and Sushiato are two local restaurants with their own websites. Restaurants change, so confirm hours before you go.

How this fits with the community

Try a test day
Before you buy, spend a day in the area. Here is how:
Morning. Drive a school-day route at the time you would go. Look at the traffic on the roads you would use.
Midday. Visit a grocery store and a few shops. See how long errands take.
Afternoon. Check the roads again around the time school lets out.
Evening. Go out for dinner. See how the area feels after dark.
Use your own eyes. A test day tells you more than a chart. Bring a notebook and write down what you see.
Planning a move during the school year
If you have kids, timing matters. Ask the district what it needs to register a student. Ask the school office when the best time to move is. Share your move date with your builder so you can plan around closing. We cannot promise a closing date, but your sales contact can give you updates as the build moves forward.
What we can do for you
We cannot choose a school for you. We can help you:
find the district's tool and use it for an address
plan a tour that includes the roads you would drive
compare Parkland Royale with other new communities
ask the builder questions about the lot and the plan
Call 561-704-0091 and tell us what matters most to your family.
Keep your notes in one place
Buying a home means keeping track of many small facts. Keep one note on your phone for each community you tour. Write the street address, the plan name, the school lookup results, and the date you checked. When you compare two places later, the notes will save you time. They also help you ask better questions when you call the district or the builder.
Common Questions
Which school will my child attend if we buy at Parkland Royale?
We cannot say. The district decides. Type the street address into the district's Find My School tool and choose the grade. Check again before you close, because boundaries can change.
Do you give school ratings?
No. We do not list ratings or call a school good or bad. We send you to the district for the facts. Visit schools and talk to the staff to see what fits your child.
What if the school finder does not show my new street?
New streets can take time to appear. The district's instruction page lists an email address for address problems. Contact the district and ask when the street will be added.
Is there school choice in Broward County?
The district has choice programs. Rules, dates and openings change each year. Start with the district's website or call the school office for the current steps.
Which roads connect Parkland to the Turnpike?
The Sawgrass Expressway, State Road 869, joins Florida's Turnpike at an interchange in Coconut Creek. University Drive and US 441 are the main north-south roads in the area.
How far is the airport?
We do not give distances or drive times because traffic changes them. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is run by Broward County. Test the route at the hour you would travel.
