The Wellington Amphitheater, in Plain Words
Here is what the village's own page says about it:
It is a ""3,200 square foot facility located adjacent to Scott's Place, a Barrier-Free Playground.""
It has a ""state of the art sound and lighting system.""
It was ""funded by a Palm Beach County grant.""
It sits ""within the same complex"" as the Wellington Community Center.
The village's Wellington Amphitheater page is the place to check before you go. Schedules and status change, so look there for what is on and whether the venue is open that week.
What the Town Center upgrade added
The amphitheater was part of the village's Town Center Phase 2 project. A Town-Crier report on the project's grand reopening, held over a Memorial Day weekend from Thursday, May 25 through Sunday, May 28, lists what changed:
""expanding the overall grass and seating area for events""
""a gateway plaza with seating, sun sails and brick pavers""
""a designated food truck parking area""
""improved parking near the existing Wellington Community Center""
While the work was under way, the Town-Crier reported that amphitheater events moved for a time to Village Park on Pierson Road.
Free shows
The village has held at least one free concert there: the Town-Crier reported ""a free Eagles music tribute concert"" there featuring the Long Run Band. We could not confirm whether every event is free, so check each listing.

How to Test Daily Life on Tour Day
A sales office can show you a model. It cannot show you your week. Here is a simple way to check the area yourself when you visit Canter:
Drive your real routes. Go from the Canter address to your work, your grocery store and your doctor at the times you would really go. Note how each trip feels.
Stop at the Town Center. Walk past the amphitheater, the Community Center and Scott's Place playground on Forest Hill Boulevard. Look at the village's event schedule while you are there.
Shop once. Buy something at the Publix you would use most. Small errands tell you a lot about an area.
Find the library and a park. If you use them, see the Wellington Branch on Royal Fern Drive and one of the village parks listed above.
Check the school address. Run the Canter address through the district tool before you sign anything.
Write it down. After the visit, list what you liked and what bothered you. Compare that list with your must-haves.
This takes a few hours, but it is the best way to know if the location fits your life, not just the house.
