Wellington, Florida is a village in Palm Beach County known for horses, and DiVosta's Canter community leans into that. Canter is one of only two live new communities inside Wellington in the National House Search database. It is a small, gated DiVosta neighborhood of 42 single-family homes near Lake Worth Road and 120th Avenue South. All four of its plans are large, one or two stories, with three-car garages. Wellington Florida in Plain Words

Wellington is a village in Palm Beach County. A November 2024 report in the Town-Crier, Wellington's local newspaper, describes the Canter land as ""22.5 acres of unused church land in the Village of Wellington."" So Canter is inside the village, not in unincorporated county land.

Here is what that means for a buyer:

• Village services. Parks and recreation run through the Village of Wellington. You can see the village's own pages at wellingtonfl.gov.

• The equestrian identity is real. DiVosta describes Canter as ""inspired by Wellington's equestrian heritage"" and lists ""World-Class Equestrian Nearby."" You do not need to own a horse to live here, but you will see the horse culture.

• Your home's page on NHS. You can see the plans, photos and location on the Canter community page on NHS.

Where Canter Sits

The Town-Crier report places the site ""near the intersection of Lake Worth Road and 120th Avenue South,"" behind St. Therese De Lisieux Catholic Church. The community's address is 4199 Sunset Pasture Drive, Wellington, FL 33449.

DiVosta does not list a lot size for each homesite. It only says ""oversized."" Ask the sales team for the exact width and depth of the homesites you like, in writing.

What Comes in Every Canter Home

DiVosta shows one standard features list on the Oakley, Ellington and Aventura pages, and it names all four plans. A few items from DiVosta's list, checked October 16, 2026:

• Ceilings: ""11'4"" ceilings all plans 1st floor,"" with tray ceilings in the gathering room, foyer and owner's bedroom.

• Kitchen: built-in KitchenAid stainless steel appliances, including a 36-inch gas cooktop and a 30-inch wall oven and microwave combo, plus Silestone and Sensa countertops.

• Roof and walls: an Eagle concrete roof tile, steel-reinforced concrete block construction, and impact-resistant windows and doors throughout.

• Energy: a Rinnai tankless water heater and a Carrier central air conditioning and heating system.

• Warranty: what DiVosta calls the ""1,2,5 & 10-year Pulte Protection Plan, transferable limited warranty.""

Because the same list appears across the plans, the real choice between plans is about size, stories and layout, not finishes. Ask for the current features sheet for the exact plan and homesite you price, since lists can change.

How to Tell If Canter Fits Your Search

Canter makes the most sense if most of these are true for you:

• You want a new home inside Wellington, not a resale.

• You want at least four bedrooms and a three-car garage.

• You are comfortable with a starting price in the $1.4 millions.

• A small community of 42 homes appeals to you more than a large one with a long amenity list.

If a big clubhouse or a resort pool is high on your list, Canter's amenity list is short: a gated entry and a tot lot. That is a fair trade-off to weigh before you visit.
