The Aisle and the Sapole II are the two smallest plans at Baywood II, D.R. Horton's single-family community in Florida City. They are only 39 square feet apart: 2,046 for the Aisle and 2,085 for the Sapole II. Both have four bedrooms and two stories. But they are not the same house. The Aisle has a two-car garage, a powder room downstairs and every bedroom upstairs. The Sapole II has a one-car garage, a bedroom and full bath downstairs, and a second living area upstairs.

The Sapole II gives more of its space to the first floor. The Aisle gives more of its space to the bedrooms upstairs. That one fact explains almost every difference between them.
The Garage: Two Cars or One
This is the biggest practical difference, and it is easy to skip on a drawing.
The Aisle has a 20'4" x 20'0" two-car garage. It is the largest garage at Baywood II, bigger than the two-car garages in the Robie and the Crosscourt. The builder lists it at 448 square feet.
The Sapole II has a 12'0" x 19'1" one-car garage, listed at 311 square feet. It also has a 7'2" x 7'4" storage room off the garage side of the house, which the Aisle does not have.
If you own two cars and want both inside, that settles it. If one car in the garage is fine, the Sapole II uses the space it saved for a downstairs bedroom.
The First Floor
In the Aisle, the first floor is one open space with a small footprint of 774 square feet. From the covered porch you enter a foyer with a powder room. The living room is 14'0" x 16'2" at the back, next to a 14'4" x 10'0" dining area. The kitchen is 14'4" x 11'2" with an island and a pantry. The living room opens to a 10'4" x 8'2" patio.
In the Sapole II, the first floor is 918 square feet. The great room is 16'4" x 18'1", the biggest single living space of the two plans, and it opens to a 10'4" x 8'2" patio. The kitchen is 12'3" x 12'7" with an island and a pantry, and the dining area is 12'0" x 10'0". Bedroom 4, at 10'5" x 11'11", sits at the back of the house next to Bath 3, which has a shower. The laundry space is also downstairs, off the kitchen.
So the Aisle has a longer kitchen and a separate living and dining zone. The Sapole II has one bigger great room, a smaller kitchen and a bedroom.
The Second Floor
In the Aisle, all four bedrooms are upstairs on a 1,272 square foot floor. Bedroom 1 is 12'0" x 15'4" with a walk-in closet and Bath 1, which has a tub and a separate shower. Bedroom 2 is 10'0" x 12'8", Bedroom 3 is 10'0" x 11'4", and Bedroom 4 is 10'0" x 12'0" with its own walk-in closet. They share Bath 2. The laundry space and a linen closet sit in the hall.
In the Sapole II, three bedrooms are upstairs on a 1,167 square foot floor. Bedroom 1 is 16'4" x 12'11" with a walk-in closet and Bath 1. Bedroom 2 is 12'4" x 10'9" and Bedroom 3 is 9'8" x 13'3", and each has a walk-in closet. They share Bath 2 with a tub. At the top of the stairs is a 12'0" x 16'9" upstairs living area, open to the stairs behind a low wall on the drawing.
Count the walk-in closets. The Aisle has two upstairs: Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 4. The Sapole II has three: every bedroom on the second floor.

The Sapole II's Bedroom 1 is about 27 square feet larger than the Aisle's. The secondary bedrooms are close in size across both plans. Read average master bedroom size for what fits in each one.
The Second Living Area
The Sapole II's 12'0" x 16'9" upstairs living area is the kind of room the Aisle simply does not have. People use a space like this as a TV room for kids, a homework spot, a home office or a playroom. The Aisle puts that square footage into a second garage bay and a fourth upstairs bedroom instead.

Where the Laundry Goes
The Aisle puts the washer and dryer upstairs, in the hall by the bedrooms, where most of the laundry is made. The Sapole II puts it downstairs, between the kitchen and the garage. Downstairs laundry means carrying baskets up and down. Upstairs laundry means the noise is near the bedrooms. Neither is wrong. Pick the one that matches how your family lives.
The drawings mark the washer and dryer spots as optional, so ask what is included with your home.
What Both Plans Include
The same Baywood II features sheet applies to both. Masonry exterior walls on a concrete slab. A roof with hurricane clips and bracing. Whirlpool stainless steel appliances. 2CM granite kitchen countertops and 2CM quartz bathroom tops. 18" x 18" ceramic tile in the first-floor living areas and carpet elsewhere. Prices and Where the Gap Comes From
The Aisle has recently started in the high $570,000s. The Sapole II has recently started in the mid $580,000s, roughly eight thousand dollars more for 39 more square feet.
