Lyons Road and the Roads Around Greyhawk Landing

Lyons Road is a north-south road in western Palm Beach County, and Greyhawk Landing sits near it. A December 2023 news report on the land purchase (citybiz) placed the community near Lyons Road and Hypoluxo Road, across from Valencia Shores Boulevard. From there, Lyons Road runs north to Lake Worth Road and south past Boynton Beach Boulevard toward West Atlantic Avenue and, much farther on, Glades Road. This guide names the roads and connection points only. We never quote drive times, because traffic changes by hour and season.
Lyons Road at a Glance
Palm Beach County's 2025 traffic count report lists Lyons Road in segments. From north to south, the main stretch near Greyhawk Landing crosses these roads in this order:
Lake Worth Road
Lantana Road
Hypoluxo Road (Greyhawk Landing is near this crossing)
Boynton Beach Boulevard
Flavor Pict Road
West Atlantic Avenue
Farther south, the same report lists more Lyons Road segments, including stretches at Clint Moore Road, Yamato Road, Glades Road and Palmetto Park Road, with the last segment ending at the Broward County line.
How many lanes?
The county's 2025 report lists Lyons Road with four lanes in each of the three segments between Lake Worth Road and Boynton Beach Boulevard. Lane counts change as roads are widened, so treat this as a snapshot.
Where Lyons Road stops
North of Lake Worth Road, Lyons Road does not continue as one straight road. The county's report lists a separate northern piece of Lyons Road near Forest Hill Boulevard and Southern Boulevard. A WFLX news report in April 2026 described drivers having to ""zigzag from Lake Worth Road to U.S. Highway 441 to Stribling Way just to reach Forest Hill Boulevard."" So if you are heading north past Lake Worth Road, plan a different route.
What Is Changing on Lyons Road
Work happening now
Palm Beach County's Road and Bridge Construction List, issued October 9, 2026, includes:
Lyons Road from Boynton Beach Boulevard to Hypoluxo Road: refurbishing the road markings, with periodic lane closures.
Hypoluxo Road at Lyons Road: a gas main extension, with periodic eastbound lane closures.
The list is issued with a weekly status window. Check the county's current list before a big move day.
Planned widening
The county's Five-Year Road Program (fiscal year 2025 update) lists Lyons Road from Boynton Beach Boulevard to Hypoluxo Road, about 1.7 miles, for a six-lane design, with design shown in fiscal year 2027. That is a plan, not a start date. Plans can move.
Getting to Florida's Turnpike
Florida's Turnpike runs north-south to the east of Lyons Road here. The two interchanges on either side of Hypoluxo Road are:
Exit 93, Lake Worth Road
Exit 86, Boynton Beach Boulevard
When the Turnpike closed between these two exits in 2023, its detour sent drivers from Exit 86 straight to Exit 93, and the county describes Hypoluxo Road as a bridge over the Turnpike. So plan to get on at Lake Worth Road to the north or Boynton Beach Boulevard to the south.
The December 2023 citybiz report said the Lake Worth Road interchange is about three miles from the site.
Getting to I-95
I-95 is farther east. Florida's Department of Transportation lists these exits for the east-west roads that cross Lyons Road:
Exit 61: Lantana Road
Exit 60: Hypoluxo Road
Exit 57: Boynton Beach Boulevard
Lake Worth Road does not appear on FDOT's I-95 exit list, so use one of the roads above.

Lyons Road South of Boynton Beach Boulevard
South of Boynton Beach Boulevard, Lyons Road has been the focus of county widening work. The county's Five-Year Road Program lists two four-lane projects there:
South of Flavor Pict Road to Boynton Beach Boulevard, about 3 miles, shown for construction in fiscal year 2025.
West Atlantic Avenue to south of Flavor Pict Road, about 2.4 miles, shown for construction in fiscal year 2026.
If you drive south toward Delray Beach often, ask the county or check its construction list for the current status of each piece.
Hypoluxo Road
Hypoluxo Road is the east-west road closest to Greyhawk Landing. The county's 2025 report lists it with four lanes from State Road 7 east to Lyons Road, and four lanes from Lyons Road east to the Turnpike. It then continues east past Jog Road, Military Trail and Congress Avenue toward the coast, and it has its own I-95 exit.
Lantana Road and Lake Worth Road
These two roads matter for trips east and north.
Lantana Road crosses Lyons Road north of Hypoluxo Road. It has its own I-95 exit (Exit 61), and Palm Tran's Route 63 runs along part of it. The county's Park Ridge Golf Course sits at 9191 Lantana Road.
Lake Worth Road is where Lyons Road's main stretch begins. It has the Turnpike interchange at Exit 93, and Palm Tran's Route 62 runs along it between the Mall at Wellington Green and Lake Worth Beach Park.
Trains, Buses and the Airport
Tri-Rail
Tri-Rail is the region's commuter train. Two stations in this part of the county are:
Boynton Beach Station: 2800 High Ridge Road, Boynton Beach
Lake Worth Beach Station: 1703 Lake Worth Road, Lake Worth Beach
Palm Tran buses
Palm Tran does not list a route named for Lyons Road or Hypoluxo Road. Nearby named routes include Route 62 on Lake Worth Road, Route 63 on Jog Road and Lantana Road, and Route 73 on Boynton Beach Boulevard. Check Palm Tran's maps for the stop nearest any address.
The airport
The county airport is now called President Donald J. Trump International Airport, code DJT, at 1000 James L. Turnage Boulevard in West Palm Beach. WFLX reported that the airport code changed from PBI to DJT in August 2026.
