Cutler Ridge Park: What Emerald Palms Buyers Should Know Before They Go

In this article
Cutler Ridge Park is a 10-acre Town of Cutler Bay park at 10100 SW 200 Street. It has athletic fields, a covered playground, a picnic pavilion, fitness stations and a walking path. Lennar names it as one of the places near its new Emerald Palms townhomes. One big change matters before you go: the park's pool closed for good on February 27, 2026. This guide covers what the park has today, why the pool closed, and which pools the Town points people to instead.

Where Cutler Ridge Park is
The Town of Cutler Bay describes the park this way:
It sits on SW 200th Street, west of Coral Sea Road.
It is right next to Cutler Ridge Elementary School.
The address is 10100 SW 200 Street, Cutler Bay.
The park phone number is (305) 233-5472.
Cutler Bay is its own town, with its own parks department. Emerald Palms is not in Cutler Bay. Lennar's homes sit in unincorporated Miami-Dade County, which our guide to whether Emerald Palms is in South Miami FL explains.
What is at Cutler Ridge Park today
The Town's Cutler Ridge Park page lists these features:
A multi-purpose recreation building
Lighted and unlighted athletic fields
A picnic pavilion and outdoor picnic areas
A covered playground
Fitness stations and outdoor exercise equipment
A paved walking path and sidewalk
A concession building and restrooms
Paved parking for 70 vehicles
The Town also says the park is home to Albion SC Miami, which was formerly the Cutler Ridge Soccer Club, and the Riptides Swim and Water Polo teams.
The pool: closed for good
The park page now shows the pool as closed. The Town's announcement, dated February 4, 2026, explains what happened:
The Town announced the permanent closure of the Cutler Ridge Pool, effective Friday, February 27, 2026.
The pool had been running since the early 1950s, before the Town was even formed.
Water bills climbed to nearly thirty thousand dollars a month because of underground leaks.
The Town says fixing the leaks and meeting 40-year inspection standards would cost about seven hundred thousand dollars.
The Town plans a new aquatic center at its future Legacy Park and Municipal Complex on Old Cutler Road. Right now, the Town shows conceptual renderings for it.
The Town also says it will study new uses for the old pool building and deck.
You can read the full notice on the Town's pool closure announcement.

Other pools the Town lists
On the park page, the Town lists other pools people can visit:
Pool | Address the Town lists |
|---|---|
Goulds Pool at JL (Joe) and Enid W. Demps Park | 11350 SW 216 Street, Miami |
Helen Sands Pool at South Dade Park | 28151 SW 164th Ave, Miami |
West Perrine Park and Pool | 10301 SW 170 Terrace, Miami |
Tamiami Park and Pool | 11201 SW 24 Street, Miami |
Ruby George Park and Pool | 201 SW 11th Ave, Homestead |
Hours, fees and swim seasons can change. Call each pool before you go.
Sports leagues at Cutler Bay parks
The Town lists these leagues and teams at its parks:
Youth baseball and softball (Perrine Baseball and Softball Association)
Youth flag football (Under Armour Flag Football)
Youth tackle football (Palmetto Raiders)
Youth soccer (Albion Soccer Club)
Youth swim and water polo (Miami Riptides)
The Town notes that these groups run on their own. You sign up and pay with each group directly, not with the Town.
Booking the pavilion or a space
The Town has a facility rental request form on its website. The park page says you can use it to see the facility reservation form and fees. Questions about the park go to the Parks and Recreation team at (786) 573-5502.
How Cutler Ridge Park compares with what Emerald Palms has onsite
Lennar lists these amenities inside Emerald Palms:
Feature | Emerald Palms (Lennar's list) | Cutler Ridge Park (Town's list) |
|---|---|---|
Playground | Tot lot | Covered playground |
Exercise | Outdoor gym | Fitness stations and outdoor exercise equipment |
Walking | Multi-use walking paths | Paved walking path |
Sports fields | Not listed | Lighted and unlighted athletic fields |
Pool | Not listed | Closed since February 27, 2026 |
So the park adds what the community does not list: real ball fields, a pavilion and organized youth leagues. Lennar's Emerald Palms community page shows the onsite amenities.
Ideas for a first afternoon at the park
Using only what the Town lists, here are simple ways to spend time there:
Walk the paved path, then try the fitness stations and outdoor exercise equipment.
Let young kids play on the covered playground, which gives some cover from the sun.
Pack a picnic for the outdoor picnic areas or the pavilion.
Watch a youth game on the athletic fields. Check each league's own schedule first.

Tips before your first visit
Check the Town's park page first. It shows closures and notices.

Ask before you book. Use the rental form to see fees for the pavilion or other spaces.
Look up teams directly. Leagues run their own sign-ups.
Check school options with the district. The park sits next to an elementary school, but school assignment depends on your address. Use the Miami-Dade County Public Schools locator.
